Courtney Thorne Smith is an American actress born the 8th of November, 1967. Her starring roles include Alison Parker on Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas in Ally McBeal, Cheryl Mabel and Lyndsey McElroy in Two and a Half Men. Thorne Smith grew up in Menlo Park, a San Francisco suburb. Walter Smith was her father and Lora Thorne, her mother. Both worked as market researchers for computer systems. Courtney Smith divorced Walter Smith when she was 7 years old. She stayed with both her parents at different times. Jennifer Jenna, Jennifer's younger sister, works in advertising. She graduated in 1985 from Tamalpais High School, Mill Valley in California. In high school, she also performed for the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley.
