Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell (born on 25th August 1949) is an American TV chef who is a popular personality. Burrell was also a former instructor of the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts her own Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and is co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her signature spiky blonde locks and an energised persona on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, reveals simple and easy to master methods for cooks at home. Chef Burrell also has worked in some of New York's top restaurants, has learned about Italian cuisine and its traditions, and was a contestant on Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in the Upstate region of New York Chef Burrell was inspired by food. She pursued her passion for working in the restaurant business by enrolment at The Culinary Institute of America after obtaining a degree in English and Communication from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. I was awed by every minute during my time of The Culinary Institute of America she says. I didn't have enough knowledge, couldn't accomplish enough, and I couldn't put in the effort enough. Following her graduation, Chef Burrell was able to spend a full time in Italy studying at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. The time she spent in Italy has helped her understand and appreciate the Italian way of life and its culture and has made an impact on her own culinary perspective. Burrell served as a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to improve the lives of kids facing difficulties. She is also an Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity ambassador which promotes education about children with diabetes. She has been a frequent speaker at conferences and travels throughout the United States in her mentorship role. Anne often has mentioned during her career in the kitchen she is incredibly fortunate to be able share with others what is most important to her.

BARBARA(Heck) born 1734 in Ballingrane (Republic of Ireland) and daughter of Bastian Ruckle Margaret Embury.
